Welcome! Thanks for stopping by our electronic office. We work hard to keep this online presence up to date, providing as many of our services as possible within the constraints of our resources. We hope that you find the result to be both informational and useful and that you’ll share with us any ideas you have for improving it.
As you’ll see throughout this site, our staff holds a number of responsibilities critical to the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens we serve. Each of them ties back to reasons the agency was created in 1961: to decrease bureaucracy and conflicting development standards; to foster coordinated growth and economic prosperity; and, to support local governments with those functions that impact growth and prosperity most directly.
The way we pursue our responsibilities is grounded in an effort the NKAPCouncil and NKAPCommission approved almost a decade ago. The Vision / Mission / Core Values Statement that you can find elsewhere on this site defines the yardstick we use to measure our effectiveness. By reducing the yardstick to writing and posting it here, we encourage you to measure our efforts too.
As it relates to both those foundations, I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out the single premise on which all our responsibilities take place. It’s Service… and it’s the single most important reason we exist. As you review information on this web site or stop by our offices in Fort Mitchell, I ask that you keep this fact in mind. Speak up. Ask questions, either in person or on the Contact Us function of this website. Provide us with your opinions. Respond to our website surveys. Participate in our online forums. Let us hear from you.
Thanks again for logging on. Feel free to drop me an email and let me know how we’re doing with our responsibilities. Weigh in on what you think of our site and how we can improve it to serve you better. Your time and thoughts will always be appreciated.
