Organization Structure / Staff
The Long-Range Planning Department assists citizens envision and
create a desirable community in which to live, work, play and raise
families. Constraints or challenges such as finances and budget,
physical, social, and environmental factors make it essential that
thoughtful planning be done to ensure that the community continues
to move forward efficiently and effectively. The Long Range Planning
Department assists in this effort by providing research and data
collection/management, and by conducting citizen-input-based planning
studies that provide a framework for positive changes in the communitys
quality of life.
The Department utilizes a wide variety of information much of it
collected from other NKAPC departments, field research, and outside
resources. Work that its staff undertakes ranges from planning projects
requiring extensive research and citizen input to short-term assistance
for individual citizens or groups and committees.
The goal of the Long Range Planning Department is to stay ahead
of trends and to advise or provide foresight to our community on
ideas, programs, and methods that can move it forward.
The departments
staff is responsible for updating the
comprehensive plans of Kenton and Campbell Counties, researching
specialized planning studies, conducting bicycle, pedestrian, corridor
and emergency service studies.
