NKAPC Student Advisory Council
As a part of the updating process to the Areawide Comprehensive Plan, the NKAPC has enlisted assistance from the Kenton County High School population. The Comprehensive Plan looks 20 years into the future. An eighteen year old high school senior today will be a thirty-eight year old job holding, tax paying citizen in the target year of the plan. Why not get their views today of what they would like to see in the community when they are mature citizens. Eleven students from Dixie Heights, Scott and Simon Kenton have formed the NKAPC’s Student Advisory Council. The junior students have been meeting bi-weekly at the NKAPC office where various members of the NKAPC staff are educating them in the planning process. They will gather data over their summer break and return to the bi-weekly meetings in September of their senior year and present their findings to the NKAPC staff.
Some of their summer activities will involve the gathering of data through meetings and surveys. So if you are contacted by any of the students please cooperate with them and help them help us to help you in updating your Comprehensive Plan.
